A Small Pin. A Big Invitation
For the last few months, I’ve worn a small lapel pin on my suit. It simply says “Light the World.”
Each time I put it on, it reminds me of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, and His example of loving, serving and caring for others. He is indeed 𝒕𝒉𝒆 “Light of the world.”

For the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of helping lead the UK Light the World Donation Machine campaign. And with this year’s launch just a few weeks away, I’m getting excited and thought I’d share a little teaser information!
A small team of dedicated volunteers has spent months bringing everything together. I’m so grateful for their time, patience and willingness to help. There’s a lot of work that goes on behind those big red digital machines!
This Christmas, you’ll find them at Spitalfields in London, Grand Central at the Bullring in Birmingham, and the Trafford Centre in Manchester, supporting 14 charities.

I’d love to invite you to come along and make a donation.
Bring your family, meet a friend, or pop over while you’re doing your Christmas shopping. Take a moment to choose something that could make a difference to someone else. The venues and dates are in the image below.
In an exciting development for 2026, we’re also piloting online donations in the UK this year, giving people across the country another way to take part, even if they can’t visit a machine. Look out for more details coming online.
Sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, this year’s global campaign reaches 149 cities across 26 countries. In 2025, donors worldwide gave 4.8 million items.
The Church covers all the costs of running the machines, so 100% of every donation goes directly to the chosen charity to fund the items selected.
Behind every item is someone who needs a little help. That’s what makes this so special to me.
My hope is that, together, we can share a little of the “good tidings of great joy” we celebrate at Christmas. – Luke 2:10
It would be lovely to see you there.
Who could you bring along this Christmas to help light someone else’s world?
